We’re searching for a Director, Paid Media Planning & Buying to help develop paid digital media planning and buying executions across social media, paid search, publisher, and other distribution channels to amplify and syndicate content marketing and other initiatives to help clients reach and surpass their business goals. This individual will work closely with the Paid Planning & Buying, Analytics, Creative, Digital teams across the Weber Shandwick West network on integrated campaigns and programs.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead planning, management, and measurement of cross-channel paid digital media campaigns
  • Define measurement plans and key performance indicators. Monitor, track and optimize campaign performance to ensure delivery is met within budget and goals are surpassed
  • Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Analytics, Creative, and Account teams to develop paid media amplification and content distribution strategies to complement organic and earned content placement
  • Build and develop relationships with media representatives and partners and negotiate best price and placement opportunities for clients
  • Develop and present RFPs, media plans, strategic decks, internal process enhancements and industry landscape POVs
  • Participate in client meetings, creative brainstorms, new business and integrated media team development

 

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of relevant digital media planning and buying experience
  • Comfortable working with both self-serve paid platforms and managed service vendors
  • High proficiency with Facebook Ads Manager (ideally Power Editor), Twitter Ads, Google Adwords (Display, Video, and Search), LinkedIn ads, and other Native ad platforms such as Outbrain and Taboola
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and demonstrated comfort with data analysis (e.g. pivot tables and spreadsheet formulas)
  • Experience with paid digital media planning across social, display, video, native and search
  • Experience developing campaign recap reports and ongoing reporting dashboards detailing performance analysis, key test results, and actionable recommendations
  • Proficiency with Facebook Power Editor, Twitter Ads Editor, and Adwords Editor (or other similar bulk spreadsheet campaign build workflows)
  • Proficiency with Google Data Studio or Tableau, Adoble Omniture/Analytics, YouTube Analytics, and/or other analytics and data visualization tools
  • Proficiency with Doubleclick or similar attribution and verification tools
