Position Description

The Principle Consultant is a client-facing role and is responsible for securing consulting & digital business, and managing client engagements from sales through to project completion. You will work directly with blue chip customers understanding their business challenges, the technical landscape, shaping/refining requirements, and delivering innovative solutions to complex problems. Principal Consultants have broad Enterprise Architect skills with specific focus and depth in digital, analytics, consumer behavior and end user transformation. Successful candidate will have performed numerous, design and implementation projects from small to very large enterprise environments with many different operating systems, applications architectures and technologies.

 

Proven experience in leading the sale and delivery of services, development of business cases, design solution architecture, and multi-phased, complex migration programs that address technology, people/organization, and process change. Absolute confidence with technical architecture, practical adaptation and implementation, functional deployment and business ROI focused areas of enterprise solutions.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive and create the enterprise analytics architecture based on best practices
  • Provide a center of excellence that empowers analytics users to self-manage their business, enables them to collaborate and leverage best practices
  • Create a platform that enables aggregation of consumer data, recognition of predictive patterns and positively influences consumer behavior
  • Evangelize importance of analytics and optimization across organization while developing strong relationships with the business stakeholders
  • Development of measurable stakeholder goals and measurement plans that tie to business impact and ROI
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of a client’s website architecture, online business model, and customer goals
  • Manage customer expectations appropriately and keep projects on schedule and within scope
  • Lead face-to-face brainstorming session with C-level and senior executives on the marketing, technical and design sides of a client’s business
  • Manage, mentor Consultants and Development teams across technology spectrum ensuring development and implementation based on the laid down architecture
  • Manage multiple projects, with multiple remote teams, at one time
  • Interact frequently with clients via phone, email, and in-person
  • Provide regular status updates to the leadership and quickly escalate potential issues
  • Manage day-to-day vendor relationships with software and service providers
  • Advise BUs during website rebuilds & updates
  • Collaborate with BUs to create standards, best practices, and decision rules
  • Monitor trends in web, social, digital and mobile media and exploring new tools, trends and applications that could positively impact our business

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience presenting in front of large groups; must be very comfortable in a client-facing role
  • Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience improving customer experience - understand data  and come up with unique recommendation
  • Expert understanding of online marketing and web analytics
  • Intermediate JavaScript, CSS and HTML - must be able to debug issues and understand how data is bring captured
  • Basic understanding of statistic
  • Understanding of data warehouse, Big Data and APIs and products such as SQL, Hadoop, Python, SAS, or R
  • Experience with Domo and/or Tableau
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or other related advanced education 
  • Previous experience working with the Omniture Suite of products (SiteCatalyst, Test&Target, etc.)
  • Previous experience working with Adobe Analytics or similar tools
  • Previous experience with tag management systems and data layers Website optimization consulting experience
  • Web development experience
  • Digital and direct-to-consumer experience (e.g., Retail, media, financial services, high tech, etc.)
  • Marketing Focus; ability to understand who Customers are
  • Expertise with mobile, video, or social media analytics
