We have an immediate need for a Business Systems Analyst to work out of our Los Angeles office and actively participate in various innovative projects. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail coupled with accounting experience, and a high interest in applications support and development to deliver solid end results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative application support with a focus on system configuration, access control, and troubleshooting
  • Train users on financial applications and develop effective operating procedures for the firm
  • Gather project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with business users and stakeholders
  • Verify business requirements for completeness, accuracy, comprehensibility, scalability, and conformity to best practices
  • Translate business user requirements into functional specifications for a technical team
  • Work with clients and Business Systems team to configure and roll out financial system functionality needed
  • Execute user acceptance test plan, coordinate testing efforts including volume testing or unit testing as applicable
  • Deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and analysis
  • Ensure that issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner
  • Establish, build, and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments as needed
  • Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of project management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Workflow Design, MS Access, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint
  • Strong MS Excel skills for modeling, data validation, and scenario analysis required
  • Prior system implementation and or migration experience preferred
  • Intrinsic ability to execute projects successfully from start to completion
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills demonstrated by the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Must possess critical-thinking skills, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving skills to help research and troubleshoot problems efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to overcome challenges and perform under high-pressure stakes
  • Strong commitment to provide quality results to external and internal clients
  • Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 to $85,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
