The primary task is to create technical content that aids teams, such as laboratory personnel and Product Development Engineers (PDE), in product realization. This involves producing clear technical documentation and visual aids like videos or images that are concise and accessible to the intended audience. By doing so, they enhance the user experience and comprehension for better execution.

The Technical Writer role involves creating clear, concise documentation and visual content to support product realization and enhance user understanding. Key responsibilities include interpreting specifications, simplifying complex concepts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience in technical editing, project management, and knowledge of automotive standards is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to leverage generative AI for content creation are essential.
What You Will Do
1. Review and Interpret Specifications: Review and interpret new specifications and revisions of existing specifications. Understand in detail all requirements for samples, workflows, and test equipment.
2. Conducting Research: Research and study products and specifications through self-learning, user feedback, and other relevant information to improve the quality of the documentation.
3. Creating Visual Content: Produce diagrams, charts, and videos to help explain technical information.
4. Simplifying Complex Information: Translate complex technical concepts into simple, clear, and concise language that can be easily understood by the target audience.
5. Conforming to Style Guides: Adhere to specific style guides and standards to ensure consistency across all documentation.
6. Collaborating with Internal Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure that the documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
7. Managing Technical Library Content: Ensure the technical library content is up to date as products and/or specifications evolve.
8. Managing Documentation Tasks: Prioritize documentation tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and communicate progress, challenges, and updates to project stakeholders and management.
9. Harnessing Generative AI: Utilize generative AI to speed up content creation, rapidly summarize contents, and conduct reviews and edits.
10. Innovative Documentation Solutions: Recommend new and innovative means to meet department documentation goals that simplify compliance, reduce complexity, support additional communication, and improve overall quality and timing.
11. Process Observation: Continually observe the overall process to quickly identify areas of potential error or waste.
