At Sotheby’s we design, support and enhance the systems that help our company find, move, market and sell art throughout the world. We are a small I.T. team which supports a rich and complex I.T. landscape.


We are seeking a candidate with strong SAP SD experience to join our global team.  The team is responsible for developing and supporting application functionality to facilitate ongoing business initiatives.  This team handles the full project lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, go-live and support) for their responsible areas, which provides many exciting opportunities for a self-motivated individual to broaden their technical skills whilst working within a close-knit team.


They need to be proficient in all areas of SD configuration (Order Management, Quotations, Pricing, Delivery Scheduling, Shipping, and Billing). A working knowledge of FI, HR and MM is also beneficial.


Strong communication and problem solving skills are critical, as this position will work closely with end users, team members, technical leads and management to define business requirements.

The candidate must have a proven track record in their area of expertise and a minimum of 5+ years of experience as an analyst.  Please see the Qualifications section for detailed requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with end users to analyze requirements for new and existing business processes.
  • Consult with end users, management, technical leads and team members to design and implement solutions to support business requirements.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of business processes in order to effectively support them.
  • Work independently to configure and test functionality that meets documented design.
  • Work with Sotheby’s Training department to ensure all training documentation remains updated.
  • Work with management, product owners, technical leads and team members to estimate time requirements for project assignments. 
  • Create test plans/cases and document testing results clearly and accurately within Jira.
  • Review, learn, and understand assigned areas of functionality necessary to properly test solutions.
  • Provide support to existing Production systems.
  • Work with software developers to identify and resolve bugs.
  • Organize tasks and personal time to complete multiple, diverse assignments within the scheduled timeframe. 
  • Maintain proficiency in technology and tools to enhance productivity and quality of systems development.

Qualifications

  • Must have demonstrable record of implementing and supporting SAP
  • At least 5+ years of SAP configuration experience is required in SAP’s SD module, including:
    • Order Management
    • Quotations
    • Pricing
    • Delivery Scheduling
    • Shipping
    • Billing
  • Knowledge of module interfaces to FI and MM
  • Understanding of HR module is beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Structured work habits and efficient time-management
  • Strong planning, organizational skills including ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects
  • Experience in Agile methodology development
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems or a related area is required
