As a DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) Product Principal Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for running technical projects to align product performance and manufacturing flows across DRAM products. Define projects, prioritize tasks, analyze risks, and meet timelines for the department. Liaison between business unit and multi-functional teams, collaborating with various departments on product capabilities.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Lead and Develop Team (Leads)
Identify headcount needs
Coach and provide career development
Identify strengths and **build** specific development plans to improve multi-functional skills
Establish goals and conduct performance appraisals
Provide recognition and drive accountability
Develop project management skills within the team
Develop and provide technical training
Provide Technical Leadership and Direction (Internal)
Prioritize issues and projects
Analyze risks and make final decisions
Define development projects
Prioritise resources to meet timelines and work within the group
Manage Technical Projects
Align product performance and Manufacturing flows across DRAM products (approve reticle conversions, Fab process changes, Test flow changes, etc.)
Provide direction and maintain alignment of specific company-wide projects
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operational, and Development Groups (other groups outside of the Business Units)
Provide cross-training opportunities
Represent the BU on multi-functional technical and operational teams
Provide mentorship in assessing product potential and capabilities
Evaluate Equipment and Hardware Needs for Engineering and Production
Define equipment needs within the department
Work with manufacturing and development groups to align hardware roadmaps with the BU product roadmap
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of experience in each of the following:
DRAM Product or Design
Management/Leadership
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
Preferred Qualifications:
Effective communication skills in written and spoken English
Good multitasking and organizational skills
Ability to delegate tasks and set priorities in a team environment
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong presentation skills
Excellent Project Management skills
Self-motivated and enthusiastic
