Appointments are made on a term-by-term basis. Adjunct faculty are required to successfully complete an online Canvas LMS orientation course before being scheduled, as well as other training if required by the department. This is an on-site blended/hybrid course, students attend class in person 60% of the time and complete the remaining 40% online through Park’s Canvas Learning Management System. A background check and government security clearance will be required to get on base.

Master’s degree in accounting with at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level accounting courses, or Master’s degree in accounting-related field or JD and at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level accounting courses, or professional certification (CPA &/or CMA), or undergraduate accounting degree with five or more years of professional accounting experience. Professional accounting work does not include accounting clerical work nor does it include teaching experience. Resume must be submitted in ACBSP format.

AC201 Principles Financial Accounting Course Description

Provides an introduction to the concepts and uses of financial accounting information in a business environment and its role in the economic decision-making process. Topics include the processing of accounting information, income measurement, accrual accounting, and accounting for assets, liabilities and equity in the corporate environment. In addition to the preparation of basic financial statements, students will apply analytical tools in making business decisions.

AC202 Principles Managerial Accounting Course Description

An introduction to the economic and financial information provided to managers and other internal users for business decision making. Topics include cost behavior; cost-volume-profit analysis; decision making applying relevant information, and hybrid costing systems; and budgetary planning and control.
