Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
The Interior Design Lecturer-Pool faculty is a term position hired to teach between one and two courses per semester as needed by the program. Course requirements are teaching in person at the main campus in Huntsville. Lecturer-Pool faculty hiring is based on student demand on a semester-by-semester basis.
The selected applicant(s) will teach one or two sections of INDS 2387: Architectural Graphics for Interiors. The course focuses on the development of two-dimensional graphic representations of architectural design. Practical application is achieved through the development of drafting skills and representational sketching.
Educational Requirements for the Position
The ideal candidate would possess a Master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field. However, substantial and notable professional experience and licensure may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
Experience Required for the Position
A minimum of three years of full-time professional design experience is required.
Other Requirements for the Position
NCIDQ or NCARB certification is preferred. State licensing is preferred.
