Purpose of the Job (Brief)

 

Effective Customer Incident management  of all network platforms and systems. Would be responsible for Traffic engineering and performance management team.

Interlock with  partners and carriers, L2 escalations, assisting higher management in driving continuous improvements, projects and handling the  team and activities in order to meet network availability and other key network performance targets which will further help in providing outstanding customer experience.

 

Deliverables (Maximum 5-6 key responsibilities)

 

Expected Key Results

Activities

§ Operations Management and excellence

·   Consistently direct and support the team to provide efficient handling of cases and to document issues appropriately.

·    Coach, train and develop staff on current and future operational/network requirements under guidance of NOC Head  and ensure team proficiency in 24 x7 Incident management.

§ Service Excellence and improved customer satisfaction

·    Customer complaints resolution within time line for Enterprise, Mobility and Tele-media and improving further performance in terms customer delight

·   Execute, trigger and follow up all required actions to restore normal services.

§ Timely Incident Notification

·   To ensure that all requisite “customer” entities within the company are advised of outage and repair status.

§ Enforce Process Controls

·    Enforce adherence to company policies, processes and procedures to eliminate non-compliance.

§ Staff Engagement

·    Conduct employee performance reviews in accordance with the HR policies.

§ Network Performance Reporting and vendor management

·    Provide network operations feedback to the NOC management team

·   Develop progress reports and statistical reports as required, for  management review.

·   Managing Partners & Peers to achieve  better productivity & thereby the business goals , Managing all OEM partners effectively to ensure smooth support for NOC operations reducing and preventing failures in network.

Educational Level

Must have:

 B.Tech in CS / Electronics or MCA

Working Experience

Must have: 

·   5-6 years of work  experience with 3+ years in a role of Assistant manager with large telecom or service providers in global business environment with rich solid experience in handling traffic engineering in ISP/MPLS cloud.

·   Must was hands-on experience on protocols such as MPLS – TE, LDP, RSVP, BGP,ISIS, OSPF.

·   Solid Work experience in ISP / MPLS large enterprise or Service provider network. Hands On troubleshooting skills on Cisco & Juniper platform

·    Cisco (CCNP / CCIE) and/or Juniper (JNCIE) Certifications

·   Able to work on existing solutions and/or provide new solutions & LLD to internal / external customers.

·   Proficient in technologies such as  L3VPN / L2PVN / Multicast etc.
