As a Marketing Manager within HARMAN’s automotive audio division, you’ll be part of a fast-paced and passionate team dedicated to delivering world-class audio experiences to consumers. This position will be primarily responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy for some of our leading OEM customers as well as collaborating with, and supporting, internal sales & executive leadership teams on strategic new business pursuits. Functional responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the creation and execution of digital, experiential, dealer training, new vehicle launch and POS assets that best support our OEM partners in the effective communication and sale of our branded audio systems. In addition, this Marketing Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong OEM customer relationships within Marketing, Product Planning, and Sales Operations across all levels of leadership. In addition, this role needs to pursue pre-SOP initiative such as an industrial design initiative, support on OEM’s global initiatives, and other related efforts.

The position also shall be responsible for/ supporting some of initiatives that covers the whole automotive business in Japan inckuding Connected Car and Connected Service, and sometimes possibly Professional solutions.

 

 

 

            

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Senior Marketing Manager in the launch support of new vehicles with HARMAN audio systems. Plans include: Digital, Social, PR, Training, Experiential, Dealer Experience and “invertising” programs.
  • Leads experiential marketing activations in the field and dealership from conception through execution.
  • Leads innovative programs and initiatives to drive increased sales through POS/Merchandising/Customer Programs (pull) and option packaging and incentive (push) programs.
  • Creates effective value propositions & stories to continuously sell the value of HARMAN to our OEM customer through demonstrations, presentations, and events.
  • Manages the execution of digital and social initiatives based on overarching marketing plan.
  • Develops internal customer “brand champions” in Marketing, Product Planning, and Sales who deeply understand and value the relationship with Harman to the point where they become internal advocates for our brand(s).
  • Working with agency partners, creates all marketing assets (print, video, photo, F&B, Why Buys, etc.) to support marketing programs and sales activities for customer account.
  • Effectively manage agency partners and project budgets in the execution of all marketing programs.
  • Event planning and implementation
  • Close and continuous communications with global Marketing and Sales team

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Business, or Communication) preffered
  • 5+ years of experience as a dedicated Marketer
  • Car Audio/Consumer Audio experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Japanese and English
  • Highly organized and results driven
  • Self-Starter, highly pro-active, Hands-On
  • Experience of plan / conduct mid/large event is a large plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for music
  • Automotive B2B experience
