Job Summary:

As a Lead Director, Product Management Shop Pre-order, you will report to the Executive Director, Product Management FS & OTCHS: Loyalty & Pre-order and lead a team of product managers/leads. You will play a critical role in developing the strategy and roadmap to drive engagement and improve our top of the shopping funnel consumer experiences on cvs.com and in our retail mobile apps.. You will outline your team of team's strategies intended to improve the customer's search and browse experience, help your customers determine the best fulfillment method that fits their needs, and remained laser focused on driving the intent to purchase. 

You will ensure the team has a clear roadmap that provides a leading customer experience while also supporting our financial goals. You will improve our digital products by bringing a passion for continuous improvement and deep experience coaching a team of product managers. You will also use your exceptional communication skills to help partners throughout the organization embrace a product mindset.

This role is in the Retail Digital Portfolio which manages several digital products related to Front Store programs including CVS.com, ExtraCare, Over the Counter Health Solutions, and more, used by millions of consumers. This portfolio must continuously innovate and improve these websites, apps, and personalized programs to better serve consumers’ needs both in-store and online.

A Brief Overview

Contributes to product strategy by leading the development and enhancement of digital products or services. Conducts market research, collaborates with cross-functional teams, designs user experiences, and oversees the product development lifecycle. Applies expertise in user-centric design, agile methodologies, and market trends to help drive the success of digital products and ensure they meet customer needs and expectations.

What you will do:

  • Leads the FS & OTCHS Shop Pre-Order product management team, providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to drive the successful execution of digital product initiatives.
  • Defines and communicates the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the FS & OTCHS Shop Pre-Order product, aligning them with business objectives and market opportunities. This individual will establish Epics in support of strategic programs required to achieve the product strategy.
  • Manages the prioritization and allocation of resources, budgets, and timelines to effectively execute digital product initiatives.
  • Oversees the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Advises management on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and drive innovative digital solutions.
  • Communicates with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Will support from team, this individual will analyze product performance metrics, user feedback, and market data to gain insights, make data-driven decisions, and optimize product features and user experience.
  • Identifies and revises FS & OTCHS Shop Pre-Order train-level KPIs to deliver product OKRs, socializes progress and consistently reinforces objectives. Use real-time access to performance data and interprets data trends to identify issues quickly. 
  • Mentors and develops product team members, fostering their growth and providing support in areas such as product strategy, product development, and stakeholder management.
  • Advocates for the digital product portfolio internally and externally, building relationships, presenting to stakeholders, and promoting the value of digital products.
  • This individual will generally work closely with the Business General Manager, Design, Engineering, and Data/Analytics forming the “Five in a Box”. They will also work with other stakeholders such as architects, tech-ops, security, etc.

For this role you will need Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Digital Product Manager or Digital Product Owner. . Able to support product launches from concept to implementation.
  • 8+ years of Agile methodology experience. 
  • 6+ years cross-functional Leadership and Performance Management experience. Focus on presenting to senior executive leadership in addition to collaborating and supporting Executive Leaders, Cross-functional Teams, and Clients and experience with execution and delivery (planning, delivery, and supporting) skills. Managing Product Owners and Sr. Product Managers. Ability to maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Product Manager (CPM) preferred.

Experience managing a team of Agilists and leading teams to deliver quality products 

Strong critical thinker who makes balanced, insightful decisions using solutions-based thinking in problem solving, asking probing questions and looking for underlying issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors).

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
