Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The Academic Achievement Center (AAC) is part of the Division of Student Success. The Academic Achievement Center cultivates the development of critical thinking skills and active learning through personal, collaborative exchanges between students, tutors, leaders, and staff. Our culture of learning is based on cognitive scaffolding that deepens the student’s knowledge of specific subject material and facilitates increased self-awareness of how they learn in general. Ultimately, students’ participation in sessions results in greater self-confidence, independence, and improved academic performance.
