The Opportunity

Nutanix is looking for a high energy Product Management professional with superior leadership, analytical and influencing skills to be part of our dynamic and growing team. This role of a Senior Product Manager will be responsible for advancing Nutanix’s Prism management plane capabilities, specifically in the areas of Lifecycle Management (Deployment and Upgrades).

You will play a vital role in shaping and driving Lifecycle Management capabilities for the entire Nutanix stack, comprising the compute, storage, clusters on data center and ROBO/edge scenarios covering software and firmware upgrades, improving scalability and speed. We are looking for a product manager with excellent technical acumen; an individual to take our Deployment and Upgrade frameworks to the next level - both for on-premises and our expanding cloud-based solutions. The role will focus on products improving the experience of Day 0 to Day 2 customer operations, including scaling initial deployment, management and upgrading of customer’s Nutanix infrastructure, including solutions that are launching in the next year.

Nutanix offers a hybrid model with the expectation to be in the office for 2-3 days a week to foster team collaboration and face-to-face interactions.

Travel requirements at Nutanix are as needed, depending on the nature of your role and projects you are working on. You may have the opportunity to travel to different office locations, attend industry events, providing you with valuable experiences and opportunities for professional growth.

Your Role

• Understand the Nutanix competitive solution market and use that knowledge to maintain Nutanix’s lead and improve on deployment and upgrade simplicity, efficiency and scale. 
• Help define and execute strategy and roadmap for Nutanix Lifecycle operations 
• Identify a variety of customer needs and use this information to define user personas, user stories, use cases, and product requirements for product features
• Participate in the product feature planning process; ensure that the product feature set meets the requirements of customers and the marketplace 
• Create content and deliver presentations to Sales, Sales Engineering and Customers on the features and benefits of those features 
• Recommendations and Suggestions for Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism Central, Hardware Partners, Cloud Solutions and Nutanix product/feature changes required to optimize the experience of deployment and upgrades of Nutanix solutions
• Provide ongoing field support as needed to drive high customer satisfaction
• Author, build, and maintain compelling internal and external facing collateral
• Provide exceptional product ownership from concept, launch, evangelize and support

What You Will Bring

• BS or MS in Product Management / Business or Computer Science related fields
• 4+ years work experience in product management, product marketing, product engineering, sales engineering, IT operations or equivalent experience in the enterprise software technology industry. 
• Experience in cluster and storage infrastructure management
• Understanding the needs, scenarios, and common deployments and upgrade challenges in the enterprise datacenter is mandatory
• Ability to translate technology features into business benefits
• Demonstrated ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions
• Attention to detail in executing complex projects with cross-functional dependencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to large audiences
• Proven ability to influence geographically distributed teams and deliver on commitments
• Strong team skills and experience to bring together diverse views
• Flexibility to work with timezones and teams located around the world 

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 182,400 and USD $ 364,800 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
