Job Description:

Major Responsibilities

Information System Management

  • Support the Partnerships unit in ensuring the efficient and optimal management of information and data flows in the WV Syria Response through an appropriate, coherent, and high-performance management system.
  • Support compelling and informative visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate complex data findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Initiate data visualization tools that enable real-time monitoring of the partnership status of WVSR.
  • Support designing a Partnerships dashboard for WVSR, incorporating several WV specific partnership tools.
  • Support the Partnerships Manager in the change management processes of the WVSR dashboards based on the feedback from different stakeholders to streamline the Partnerships processes.
  • Test and modify WVSR-partnership tools to ensure that they operate reliably and are user-friendly.

Support ensuring tools and dashboards are aligned and that they complement existing tools and processes with the WVSR strategy (FY24-26).

Capacity Building and Learning

  • Work closely with the other colleagues in the Partnerships team to ensure they have all the required information, material, and resources for their day-to-day work

Provide training and support to WVSR staff on how to use the newly created Partnerships unit tools and dashboard.

Data Management and reporting

  • Prepare regular reports and PowerPoint presentations on partners covering all steps of partnerships cycle: Partner selection, Partner Contracting, Partner’s capacity building, and partnership monitoring.
  • Ensuring that the information collection and management systems used by partners and project, program, and MEAL teams are integrated and consistent.
  • Design survey forms and manage related platforms

Data protection and ethical use of data

  • Ensure the collected and shared data are aligned with WV data protection and ethical policy 
  • Understands and applies security policies, Child Safeguarding, and fraud prevention policies.
  • Manages the security and archiving of all programmatic data generated by the projects, Partnerships, programs, and other technical units.
  • Support in managing relationships with external factors involved in Information Management related to Partnerships (data sharing protocols, etc.)

Required Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of information management in a humanitarian context.
  • Proven experience in establishing a fully functional Information Management system for international NGOs
  • Experience in designing and managing tools for Partnerships Units of International NGOs
  • Thorough knowledge of xls file management and coding.
  • Knowledge of data protection best practice and ethical use of data
  • Experienced with Kobo, Commcare and PowerBI platforms
  • Experienced in remote context

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Data Analysis, Information Management, or any other relevant field of study.

  • Previous working experience in Turkey/Jordan and Turkish/Jordanian NGOs can be an advantage.
  • Previous engagement with the Syria Crisis response in Turkey, Syria, and Jordan can be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of database management and data structures
  • Experience working with supporting local partners on IM-related issues preferred 
  • Experience with PowerBI, Commcare and Smap/ ODK preferred

English: Advanced in writing and speaking in English
