Under direct supervision of the CFGP Director, the Program Supervisor (PS) functions as a team leader for Parents As Teachers© (PAT) projects to hold the program and Parent Educators (PE’s) accountable for quality service to participants. PS is responsible for undertaking ongoing, intense, professional training and providing direct management and reflective supervision to PE’s to assure fidelity in service delivery. This is a grant funded position and continuation of employment is dependent upon grant funding.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five years of relevant, progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Supervisory experience.
Valid Driver’s license and responsible mode of transport required.
Must obtain Infant Mental Health endorsement within first year of employment
Ability to perform moderate lifting of supplies.
Prolonged sitting, especially in a driving capacity
Knowledge of infant and child development and maternal-infant health.
Working knowledge of the dynamics of child abuse, neglect and family violence.
Oral and written communication skills, Computer knowledge with skills in word processing and the ability to learn new computer programs.
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff
Preferred Qualifications
3-4 years supervision experience with 3 or more staff, 3-5 years working with children and families, 2-3 years’ experience with home visitation services, budget experience with grant/non-profit program.
