Job TitleHeadend Specialist

Purpose of the Job

Headend System specialist responsible for maintaining the Headend to meet highest uptime and error free operations.  In addition ensure that customer experience parameters related to picture quality and zap time are best in the industry.

 

Deliverables (Maximum 5-6 key responsibilities)

1.       Fine tune the headend for highest PSNR, DMOS and zap time.

2.       Optimize the per channel bandwidth to maximize the no. of channels per TS.

3.       Balancing the channels across TS for maximum VBR efficiency

4.       Level-2 support for Incident management

5.       Ensuring test bed availability for Development team (cross functional) testing.

6.       Providing Design inputs for new technology up-gradation

7.       Conducting POC and ATP for any new requirements from Planning.

 

Major Challenges :

 

1.       Develop  solution for frequent business requirement changes.

2.       Vendor support for new feature development
