POSITION SUMMARY:
Project Manager II (PM II) is a progressive position. The PM II manages the coordination and completion of Material Handling System (MHS) projects with increasing levels complexity, scope, and budget. The PM II assures all deliverables are on time, on budget, and within scope. The PM II works directly with Fortna associates, clients, supplier-partners, and other service providers in connection with project deliverables.
The PM II is responsible for developing, delivering, and leading discussions pertaining to reports for both Fortna management and client leadership. The PM II will rely on broad project management experiences and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while planning, leading, and directing the work of others.
The PM II will be provided greater latitude to deliver projects and will be expected to demonstrate a breadth of creativity commensurate with their experience. The role will have greater autonomy requiring the PM II to function with a higher level of independence. The role will require the PM II to demonstrate broad project and client leadership management skills, progressive proficiency in the development of associates and teams, and intermediate consultative skills.

Education / Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of experience and/or 5+ years of work experience in one of the following disciplines: industrial, mechanical or civil engineering; industrial or construction management.
Ability to travel up to 30% to client sites
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with attention to detail. Proficient in maintaining structured processes, coordinating and scheduling projects, and using organizational tools to enhance efficiency.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
When duties are performed in a typical office environment, extended periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen will be required. Also required is the ability to talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise level in this work environment is usually quiet. When traveling to Client sites, essential requirements of this position may require physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet, to moderate, to excessive.
Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn as necessary.
The base salary range for this role is $87,600 to $131,300. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
