Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Transitions

In this role, you will be responsible for seamlessly managing large-scale & complex projects for the Transition function and creating a value-add for internal stakeholders by streamlining / simplifying their processes. Reimagining the way, we do transitions so as to consistently exceed client expectations and add value. In our endeavor to stay relevant and ahead of the competition in this hyper-dynamic business and client environment it’s imperative to create meaningful business impact. With an ask for transformative, insight-led thinking, this role involves reimagining the outcomes for stakeholders in the function and helping them drive the same within their teams. This role involves consulting prospective clients in co-create E2E Transition / Transformation approach for all non-strategic deals to deliver ‘Intelligent Operations’ / ‘Digitally Led Solutions’ on bedrock of Lean Digital with the direction from the VTLs and contribution from TMs as well as coaching and acting as a trusted advisor to the customer. A Transition Leader should be able to work on multiple projects and with multiple stakeholders & functions like HR, Finance & Operations and ensure the transitions receive adequate support from each function. The ability to work in a global environment is a vital aspect of this role. The fast-paced evolution in digital technology and in strategic business objectives has today moved the balance in favour of ‘Transformation-Focused’ solutions which is the key to the development of our People, Processes and Products. The team’s objective, therefore, is to continue to partner with the regional & global stakeholders, act as trusted advisors to them. As a “Transformation focused” solution provider, transition leads will co-create E2E Transition / Transformation approach for all non-strategic deals to deliver ‘Intelligent Operations’ / ‘Digitally Led Solutions’ on bedrock of Lean Digital with the direction from the Vertical transitions leader. 2 This includes setting up of performance metrics, regular monitoring of processes, ensuring controls are in place, risk analyses are performed for every process, adequate training of resources, establishing communication channels with various internal/ external teams and building relationships for long term success.

  • As a thought-invoking, innovative storyteller and a reliable trusted business advisor, the Transition Leader would be required to build strong relationships at a with the client leadership team and drive client focused and contextually aligned conversations, focused on business & project outcomes/value & capabilities for the client.
  • As a P&L owner, the role will be accountable for revenue and AOI impact during the T&T journey. Be a Global Viewpoint holder who is curious, constantly Innovates & effectively leverages Global insights through internal/external intelligence.
  • Be a follower and promoter of Global Outlook - by being curious and by constantly adopting and encouraging innovation through internal/external intelligence. TL’s will collaborate with the larger G ecosystem and leverage internal and external viewpoints alongside knowledge of G service offerings to present a G T&T (Transformation & Transition) point of view (POV) during exploratory client discussions.
  • As a T&T Program Manager, TLs will lead & manage the transformation program set up through to delivery, the realization of outcomes/benefits, and closure for all deals.
  • As a “People Investor” take personal responsibility to coach team on transition skills of the future while continuing to Lead / Partner in Strategic/ Functional development initiatives aligned with functional imperatives and G growth agenda.
  • As a digital pseudo native – TL’s will be expected to display a thorough understanding of G’s Digital Compendium and position those credibly during client interactions and also drive implementation of digital offerings during transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Involve self in the ‘Flying Formation’ team for Hunting & Mining pursuits
  • Develop a strong understanding of the E2E solution and its value being proposed
  • Co-create the E2E transition strategy / solution to deliver ‘Intelligent Operations’ or
  • ‘Digitally Led Solutions’ on a bedrock of Lean Digital with the direction from the MTLs
  • and contribution from TMs
  • Understand G’s Digital Compendium (Transformation Services offerings, solutions,
  • digital assets, deployment toolkits etc.) with sharp focus on market / industry / client
  • specific agendas
  • Position G’s digital compendium credibly during all client interactions
  • Drive the utilization of digital compendium in all Transformation solutions, to the
  • relevant extent
  • Develop and refine Client engagement strategies in line with client expectations and
  • relationship management practices
  • Engage CXO-1 / CXO-2 level in exploratory discussions; identify and articulate potential
  • opportunities (unstated)
  • Taps into internal networks – TLs / SMEs / LSAs / GOLs to identify relevant ideas or
  • customize existing transformation solutions in accordance to client’s expectations
  • Manage expectations and gain relevant buy-in / ownership to drive the Transformation
  • agenda as laid out.
  • Pro-actively identify and communicate risks, and co-create change solutions throughout
  • the Transformation period
  • Build financial acumen around revenue, AOI impact and cost drivers for a business
  • during the transition lifecycle
  • Design financial strategies (planning, reporting etc.) and ensure alignment with E2E
  • transformational change plan
  • Accountable for SLA Adherence during the transition lifecycle (90 days post go live)
  • Analyze and take corrective action to stay on track with financial realizations
  • Understand Market / Industry realities, opportunities and threats.
  • Build a deep understanding of the domain, products and service lines within the industry
  • Develop a strong acumen around Client’s business know-how and expectations
  • Understand competitors product offering, strategy, positioning, strengths and weaknesses

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

  • Post-graduation degree/ MBA [Based on technical proficiency - add technical degree]
  • Technical/ Digital background - Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI or equivalent certification
  • Experience in Leading and executing Projects
  • Involvement in Six Sigma initiatives and projects
  • Transitions experience
  • Experience post-Graduation with experience of consulting exp. at Client level with demonstrated expertise in building E2E transformative solution
  • Extensive experience in managing multi-functional Solutions, Transitions & change management with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of project management tools and technologies
  • Experience in engaging in strategic and tactical discussion with senior stakeholders to sell the product offering
  • Ability to ensure service focus across a complex people intensive and functionally dispersed organization
  • P&L management for 3 to 4MM$, spanning 2-3 projects at any point of time
