  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP system for planning and procurement
  • Work with crossfunctional teams on and off the production floor.
  • Generate and publish production schedules in colloboration with Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Release manuafc turing orders to acheive corporate demand schedules.
  • Manage planning parameters for assigned parts ensuring proper lead times, Lot sizes , order modifiers, and safety stocks are loaded properly.
  • Provide Engineering with assistance with releasing orders when requirments for Engineering orders arise.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the department.
  • Interface with inspection, receiving, & shipping personnel to facilitate the expeditious processing of materials that require purchasing department attention
  • Coordinate first article runs with manufacturing and or suppliers to assist in achieving schedule requirments.
  • Manage subcontract processes and flows
  • Improve business practices to reduce inventory and improve cycle times, lead times, service levels
  • Provide feedback/information from suppliers in the non-conforming material process
  • Lead supplier projects
  • Lead efforts to improve vendor quality
  • Be an effective team member on product development projects.
  • Perform other duties as required





  • Bachelor degree business or technical degree is preferred.
  • NAPM or APICS certification a plus
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Comprehensive computer skills including MS Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • Detail oriented and very well organized.
  • Familar with CNC machining and Turning desired.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in planning / production control function and some purchasing experience desired
  • Experience with MRP systems and knowledge of operations / manufacturing flow
  • Knowledge of both investment castings and machined parts manufacturing preferred
