It takes groundbreaking powertrain technologies to satisfy the environmental regulations and efficiencies of tomorrow’s engines and this is what you will be able to develop as an engineer working in the Advanced Engine Group at FCA.

We are looking for engineers interested in stretching the boundaries of what has been successful to create what the future will be for FCA internal combustion engines.

In this position, you will be designing, developing, analyzing and testing engine hardware systems that will power the next generation of vehicles at Chrysler. We are looking for a candidate with the passion and experience of working on the internal combustion engine. An individual who and has the ability to design and test their prototypes. Someone who understands key functional parameters and metrics and is able to make fact based decisions. A person capable to lead simulations along with test activities to gain insights into behaviors of engine components and systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
  • Minimum of 5 years of powertrain experience
  • Experience with analytical tools and methods to design and develop mechanical hardware and systems
  • Must have a passion for Powertrain and the automotive industry
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Able to work independently, but not afraid to ask for the help when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Experience designing and releasing hardware for internal combustion engines
  • MSME or PHD
  • Track record of proposed or approved patents
  • Control Systems
  • Engine Dynos
  • Project Management
  • Bench Testing
  • Programming
