As a Senior Transportation Project Manager, you will perform oversight of planning, analysis, design and engineering support for all phases of the project development process. This position will give you the chance to work on exciting transportation projects that will require your expertise, experience, and leadership as you proactively identify and solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify, develop and analyze innovative solutions; and guide others in solving complex issues. 

In this role, other activities that you will be directly involved with and/or interface with include:

  • Conceptual and Geometric Schematic Design development
  • Review of environmental studies
  • Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (final design) development
  • Development of documents in support of funding and/or Federal Highway Administration guidelines/approvals
  • Advanced planning
  • Public involvement
  • Toll system and Intelligent Transportation Systems planning, design, and implementation
  • Surveying
  • Right of way and utility support
  • Hydraulic studies
  • Geotechnical Services
  • Program implementation including design and construction oversight as well as maintenance transition oversight
  • Cost estimating
  • Support in the development of procurement documents and tasks

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering 
  • At least 10 years relevant experience
  • Experience working with and leading multi-discipline teams
  • Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months bases on P.E. license from another state

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience with multiple project delivery methods (Design Bid Build, Design Build, CMAR, etc.)
  • TxDOT experience on a large program
  • TxDOT Precertification in category 23.9.1 General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Project Services (Contract Project Manager)

109,100.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

190,900.00

The base salary range for this position is $109,100.00 to $190,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
