The Kind of Person We’re Looking For

A data-driven, detail-oriented person who can work without a great deal of supervision. The Data Migration Specialist role fits a technically minded candidate with great communication and organizational skills.

In this role, you are leading the crucial initial steps to migrate our new clients’ program data into the Paytronix platform. You are responsible for guiding Implementations team members and new clients themselves through the process of obtaining and testing member exports and ensuring that data is properly interpreted and moved safely. You will partner with Paytronix Project Managers and Implementations Consultants to properly plan for the migrations process to fit into a larger implementations project plan. You will help to iterate and refine processes and consult with other groups across Paytronix in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with colleagues across Client Services and lead the execution of data migration projects for customers.
  • Use SQL to review large amounts of data and identify risks with data including missing data, unclean data, and duplicate data.
  • Communicate directly with the customer and lead conversations regarding migration requirements.
  • Create documentation of key migration decisions made as part of each individual customer project.
  • Enforce both the secure transfer and storage of client data using approved tools .
  • Own the physical card “swipe testing” process as applicable.
  • Own the internal documentation of all audit-required communications for migrations.
  • Migrate data for clients outside of standard business hours, so that store operations are not interrupted.
  • Document the internal migration steps associated with each customer’s test migration, both for record-keeping and for repeating during the production process.
  • Offer guidance to the client on best practices for migration decisions, including considerations to keep the project on schedule, the impact on marketing and financial reporting, and the impact on the guest experience.
  • Maintain an internal status report regarding the stages of all active migration projects that can be shared with Implementations management for the purposes of visibility and prioritization.
  • Define and improve best practice for all areas of migrations, including tools, data manipulation and documentation.

The kind of experience you’ll need:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of personalities
  • 1 year of technical client-facing experience
  • Outstanding capability to stay organized as well as ability to organize data and migration schedules
  • Data transformation skills, including some use of SQL
  • Ability to work in and/or learn EM Editor
  • Process-oriented and passionate about ongoing improvement
  • Technically minded and detail-oriented background with a passion for problem solving
  • BS or BA degree and/or relevant work experience within the computer and/or IT industry
  • Well-honed verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications, IT networking experience

Salary: 80-90k
