POSITION TITLE: GIO Business Information Analyst

DEPARTMENT: Enterprise Data Operations (EDO)


POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Systems Analysis related field or equivalent business/financial services industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in data analysis
  • Proficient in assessing, capturing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Skilled documenting solution process flows
  • Experience with core Microsoft Office apps (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio).
  • Able to read and write Structured Query Language (SQL) queries aligned with data analysis
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with project and task management processes and systems.
  • Experience working with Bloomberg, Charles River, Eagle Investment Systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data lakes and data warehouses is preferred
  • Familiarity with mutual fund products and the securities industry

The GIO Business Information Analyst focuses on the continual growth and success for the organization by performing analysis of information and business processes related to various investment management and support teams. The GIO Business Information Analyst looks for opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity and present findings and potential solution options to key stakeholders and various levels of management within Global Investment Operations. The GIO Business Information Analyst ensures requirements are documented, implemented, and perform testing of those solutions. The GIO Business Information Analyst is a detailed planner, effective communicator, proven analyst and tester. 

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Act as a leader within the team and represent the team on various short and long-term project initiatives
  • Play a central role in the analysis of the needs of business units, partnering with Global Technology Operations to deliver on those needs, and may often serve as a liaison between those groups
  • Elicit and interpret the actual needs of business stakeholders, not simply their expressed desires. Work with various groups to determine data and information delivery needs
  • Understand end user requirements both from a high-level business and technical perspective and document them into business and operational requirements to ensure the business data needs are captured and clearly communicated for solution design
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the review, development, and implementation of new procedures and/or processes resulting from reengineering, new initiatives, increased quality control or as mandated by corporate policy
  • Assist lesser experienced team members as a point of contact with their understanding of data domains, data concepts, and data management principles
  • Refine and implement support metrics and management reports

HOURS/LOCATION:

  • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Overtime as required)
  • Location: Warrendale, PA or Pittsburgh, PA (hybrid in office work schedule)
