Award winning architectural design firm is seeking their next Project Architect. The Project Architect will work for a firm that has been in business over 130 years! The firm partners with a variety of clients to deliver meaningful solutions for a wide range of facility needs. Responsibilities:

Developing documents such as drawings and plans based on client requirements and design guidelines

Meeting with clients regularly to discuss project progress, concerns, and changes in scope or schedule

Reviewing plans to ensure that they meet building codes and other regulations

Working with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule

Providing technical guidance and supervision for projects involving engineers, architects, interior designers, and other building professionals

Working with contractors to ensure that buildings comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Reviewing blueprints and plans to ensure compliance with building codes and standards

Estimating materials costs and labor requirements for projects

Preparing change orders for contractors to modify plans or specifications to meet client needs

Other duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:

REVIT, Photoshop and SketchUp preferred

Education:

Bachelors

Experience:

4-7 years

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture

Architectural registration

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial (non-residential) design and construction

Technical experience in all phases of design, documentation, detailing and construction

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Positive attitude

Desire to improve professionally on a daily basis

Ability to foster positive relationships between the design team, clients, consultants and contractors
