POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the General Maintenance Worker Building Representative serves as a liaison for facilities-related maintenance issues between PRIDE Industries and the customer and is the primary point of contact for departmental personnel and military employees within the assigned facility or facilities. Work involves investigating and coordinating responses for facilities problems, complaints, emergencies, special events or other facility issues or operations. Facilities-related maintenance expertise is typically required for this position.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Serves as liaison for facilities maintenance, repairs and alterations between PRIDE Industries and military personnel and employees in the building where assigned.
2. *Assists with tracking costs of work performed in the building where assigned and reports those costs to the appropriate PRIDE Facilities Management personnel.
3. *Reports emergencies and building problems to designated persons.
4. *Assists with providing subject matter expertise to internal and external customers in the areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
5. *Assists in coordinating facility access and addressing security breaches, such as when an entry violation to the building occurs.
6. *Trains workers in the safe and proper use of products and equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
7. *Conducts daily, weekly, monthly and annual walk-through inspections to ensure that the building and applicable equipment is in good working condition and functioning properly.
8. *Compiles, organizes, and maintains data for various reports.
9. Maintains a good working relationship with workers and customers.
10. *Repairs or replaces sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
11. *Replaces electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
12. Uses plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
13. *Paints structures and equipment.
14. *Repairs and replaces concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
15. *Replaces damaged paneling and floor tiles.
16. *Hangs doors and installs door locks.
17. *Replaces broken window panes.
18. *Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
19. Securely maintains and keeps track of keys to the equipment rooms for the building.
20. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED
Technical/other training
CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:
The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:
Secret Security Clearance
Valid Driver's License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed at a customer’s location in office, shop, warehouse, or outdoor environment. May require driving to and from worksite locations. Equipment can be located in crawl spaces, rooftops, and outside facility. Employees may be exposed to hazardous and/or toxic substances, electrical shock, noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat.
