The Director of Supply Chain Operations (SCO) leads all Supply Chain Operations teams and supports the overall Supply Chain Management strategy by facilitating the logistics and delivery of equipment and supplies on a system-wide basis. This position will have administrative responsibility for the distribution center, central supply areas, PAR locations across the system, clinical inventory management, and a daily analysis of the supply assets. The Director of SCO will develop strategy and implement initiatives in the key areas of clinical inventory management, freight and warehouse operations, demand planning and logistics. Ensures that all activities are carried out in alignment with system goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• Eight or more years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, and warehousing including at least 4 years of management level experience.
• Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse design, process improvement methodologies.
• Experience and demonstrable results achieved in complex strategic projects such as cost savings or operational efficiencies.
• Experience in active use and maintenance of a Materials Management Information System (MMIS). Strong preference for Epic and Workday experience. Other Materials related systems experience with GHX E-commerce, Par Excellence, warehouse management systems, Kanban methodologies, and Q sight.
• In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of purchasing, logistics, business management principles and business math. Fundamental management skills of planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and staffing including analytical ability, negotiation skills, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self- education, attends ongoing educational programs). Continually investigate opportunities to improve process effectiveness and efficiencies, while maintaining anticipated results.
• This individual must possess a strong sense of staff accountability, service orientation, and a sensitivity and responsiveness to the requests of user departments.
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Windows based software must include Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Effective verbal, quantitative and interpersonal skills in order to deal with complex management problems and communicate with leadership, peers in other healthcare organizations, and outside vendors.

Normal office environment where there is no reasonable potential for exposure to blood or other high risk body fluids.
