Job Title:  Engineer – Performance Monitoring

 Job Level:  Engineer

Function:  NOC-Service Quality

Location : Manesar

Reporting to :  Head-Network Performance

Date : 14-11-2017

Purpose of the Job

Performance Monitoring of Transmission Network.
Optical power / Span loss monitoring of Transmission Network.
Analyze & plan for diversity of circuits.

Deliverables (Maximum 5-6 key responsibilities)

 
Extraction of Optical ports PM report, Verification of error trends , opening of link error case TTs and assigning TTs to concerned team with proper action plan.
Proactive Monitoring of Optical Low-High Power correction & ring audit.
Repeat complaint analysis, Problem Management case analysis and PM validation of circuits.
PM enabling and port addition of new optical ports after script run in all NMS.
Process compliance.
Preparations and Analysis of MIS Reports.
Challenges :
Knowledge of newly installed equipment / technology, quickly adapt with new transmission technology being deployed to stay ahead in market.

Demonstrate (Key competencies)

Good knowledge on Optical Fiber communications.
Basic knowledge of SDH, DWDM , OTN and Packet equipments.
Experience in Installation & Commissioning of ECI, Tellabs, Alcatel & Nortel equipments.
Experience on NMS for different vendors like ECI, Tellabs, Alcatel, Nortel & Huawei.
Tracing of circuits in different NMS.
