Position Summary

Talent Acquisition team is looking for a dynamic, proactive professional to join our Accounting department in Bulgaria. Main responsibilities of the Senior accountant are to provide efficient and qualitative service in ensuring compliant period-end closing following Accounting and Tax legislation, internal procedures and standards.

A day in the life of Senior Accountant:

Performing a variety of complex accounting functions within the Accounting Department like:

  • Creating new assets and sub assets master record (cost centre, useful life, physical location,

Class, carat code)

  • Settling AUC balance to final asset
  • Being in constant communication with engineers from the factory/IT department/ General services department in order to ensure assets are commissioned on time
  • Posting of manual journal entries
  • VAT reporting activities
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Preparing on a monthly basis Cash Forecast taking into account open balances for customers/vendors; CAPEX payments, FX hedge, salaries
  • Working closely with Shared Services Centers, Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables teams to ensure proper posting of documents and timely payments, posting manual entries
  • Key contact point for the preparation of transfer pricing files
  • Participating in statutory closing
  • Preparing quarterly reports to Bulgarian National Bank and monthly/yearly reports to National statisсtical institute
  • Actively involved in ongoing projects in the company

What will make you successful:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in Accounting/Audit. Good knowledge and experience of accounting and tax compliance (note that external tax services are used as well).
  • Excellent knowledge of English language, both written and spoken. 
  • University degree in Accounting/ Tax/ Audit / Finance.
  • Experience with Accounting software (SAP) and computer literacy - advanced user of MS Office package.
  • Previous experience in multinational environment is an advantage.
  • You have excellent communication skills, with demonstrated clarity in both spoken and written. You are very structured and clear on priorities.
  • Ideally, you are an initiative, open-minded and proactive person with strong analytical skills, problem solving attitude and data-driven thinking and result focus.
  • Flexibility and ability of adapt and embrace change (multiple projects and changes in the ways of working).
