The Construction Management Department administers all Capital projects performed in existing public school buildings and the construction of new schools. Construction Management will do so in a safe and efficient manner, working with the school and community to work efficiently, minimize the impact on the educational process while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
The Program Manager manages consultants in the design and/or construction/renovation of new or existing schools. Manages multiple projects of varying complexity.
Responsibilities include:
Change Orders:
Preferred Skills: Very strong background in cost estimating and negotiations. Strong computer skills. Extensive full-time work experience participating in new building construction and renovations, estimating, negotiation, mediation, assessment and/or evaluation of costs associated with construction projects' components.
Scheduling:
Preferred Skills: Very Strong background in Primevera Systems P3 & P6 and Microsoft Office Suite specifically MS Project, MS Excel, Excel. Extensive full-time work experience in new building construction and renovations, construction scheduling, negotiation, assessment and/or evaluation of costs associated with construction projects' components.
Civil Service Classification: Pending Jurisdictional Classification

Salary Range: $105,159 - $160,000
Baccalaureate
Eight years of full-time work experience participating in the negotiation, mediation, assessment and/or evaluation of costs associated with construction projects' components; four years must be in an administrative or supervisory capacity; or a safisfactory combination of education and experience. Specialty technical skills aplicable to the areas to be assessed or evaluated.
