Senior Brand Manager Frailty & Recovery Core

Senior Brand Manager Frailty & Recovery Core Benelux

(Fulltime, Location: Bruxelles)

As Senior Brand Manager Frailty & Recovery Core Benelux you are responsible to design and implement the strategy on Oncology for Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition (AMN).

The products you manage have a direct impact on the quality of life of the patients, and may even participate to an increase of the overall survival.

AMN is growing almost double digits in a growing market and we have a clear leadership in market share (> 60%).
Since a few years we have initiated to shift from purely product / category focus to a Therapeutic Area approach.  This means that we put the patient at the center of everything we do, in order to propose tailor-made products or services to the HCP’s, to the patients or their carers. Another important shift is the transition to a more digital approach towards our customers (Health Care Professionals, Carers and Patients).

Your mission will be to develop, implement and evaluate specific marketing plans for Frailty  Therapeutic Area and Recovery Core (Fortimel/Nutridrink) category in conjunction with to achieve both long and short term agreed TA/brand objectives, including sales and profitability targets, in all channels where Nutricia AMN is present: Hospital, HomeCare, Pharmacy and Elderly Homes.

You will work cross functionally to drive the development of the Frailty Therapeutic Area and Recovery Core brand plan, within three Business Activation Teams (BAT): Community Belgium, Community Netherlands and Hospital Benelux. These cross functional teams include colleagues from Marketing, Sales, Medical and other departments.

What will be your key challenges?

On Frailty TA, we’re in an understanding phase where a lot has to be invented and created yet. We need to define the rights sub-groups of patients to focus on, the right strategy and Value Proposition. It’s a very early stage.

On Recovery Core category, our biggest category in turnover (50% roughly), the main challenge is to grow the market and defend our market share in the Community channel (outside the hospital), with specific focus on demand generation for Netherlands and both demand generation (GP’s) & winning in pharmacy channel  for Belgium.
At the same time we still need to expand our business in the Hospital, where a big part of our business comes from, by mastering DRM (Disease Related Malnutrition) communication and discharge management.

You will have to define and deploy a successful Portfolio Management plan for the next 3 years, by managing Recovery Core category portfolio (innovation, renovation, and pricing).

Another bug challenge is to develop impactful offline/online communication campaigns towards HCP’s, while anticipating long term shift from hospital towards Community and therefore the increasing importance of patient / Carer  self-management.

Together with the Global team and R&D, you are also defining the next innovations in these field by acting as a lead CBU.

The Senior Brand Manager (like all managers in Nutricia AMN) needs to be able to juggle between strategic thinking, very operational delivery (hands-on approach required!), long term plans and short term business impact needs.

What will be your main responsibilities?

Please note travel will be included in this position (from Bruxelles to Zoetermeer), this will be around 20 – 30% of your time.

You will also have to coach (not a hierarchical reporting line) two Brand Managers Recovery Core, 1 in BE and 1 in NL, and align with them on key projects and prioritizing together the scope of work.
