Munich Re

Risk Manager Non-Financial Risk Management / Third-Party Risk Management (m/f/d)*

Company

Munich Re

Location

Munich , Germany

Within the division of Integrated Risk Management (IRM), our team is responsible for creating and maintaining a holistic framework for Non-Financial Risk Management (NFR) in the Munich Re Group. This includes the on-going development of methods, tools and processes around Non-Financial risks, as well as the group-wide roll-out of NFR to the International organization of the Reinsurance Group, to ERGO and MEAG.

A fundamental pillar of NFR is Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM). This includes the independent assessment and adequate treatment of all risks related to services provided by third parties, both IT and Non-IT, including group-internal services. The TPRM workstream identifies, assesses, and controls the risks throughout the lifecycle of a third-party relationship. It is performed in close collaboration with the respective Business Owners and the new Third-Party Management Function (TPMF) in Central Procurement.

If you are interested in contributing to continuously enhancing and deploying the TPRM framework as an integral part of our Non-Financial Risk Management activities, we look forward to receiving your application.

Your Job

  • Ensuring the group-wide roll-out of the TPRM framework in close collaboration with all entities across the Munich Re Group, developing and deploying meaningful training concepts
  • Supporting the implementation of a TPRM solution in the GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) tool
  • Fostering the link of TPRM to other NFR workstreams, in particular Information Security Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and the Operational Risk Control System (ORCS)
  • Providing an independent second opinion for new or renewed third-party services under risk aspects
  • Implementing and performing a meaningful Third Party risk reporting
  • Maintaining the on-going alignment of TPRM activities with key stakeholders, especially Group Compliance and Legal, IT Risk and Security, and the TPMF

Your Profile

  • University degree, preferably in a technical subject, IT, economics, or law
  • Ability to assume end-to-end ownership for the development and deployment of TPRM methods and tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in an international environment and across different hierarchy levels
  • Affinity for IT topics and for working within international and interdisciplinary teams
  • Very good command of both the German and English language
  • Willingness to travel
