Minimum Experience Required To be considered:  5 Years B2B – Complex Technology Sales Experience- SaaS experience strongly preferred. This particular territory has a focus on Telco/Utilities- Candidates with experience selling to Telco/Utilities is a big plus!

 Principal Duties and Responsibilities -This is an Outside field sales position

  • Manage accounts through entire sales process; physically at customer location for business development, prospecting, and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support.

  • Be a Trusted Adviser for customers and identify win/win situations.

  • Deliver an accurate weekly, monthly & quarterly forecast of business.

  • Develop important and effective relationships within the account including Key Executives.

  • Translate customer challenges and opportunities into unique business value.

  • Ensure the Autodesk team delivers Business Value to the Account(s), builds effective Account Business plans and executes upon the plan.

  • Build, maintains and grow opportunity pipeline within Account(s), uses sound call planning to drive business results and makes continuous improvement in moving Autodesk from vendor to trusted advisor.

  • Evaluate and prepare business plans for each assigned account. This involves evaluating the customer profile, creating value messaging, and targeting key steps needed to execute the account plans.

  • Generate new business by creatively expanding existing accounts.

  • Help customers and the company develop success reference stories.

  • Negotiate deals and contracts at various levels within the targeted account, with primary focus/importance on “C” and enterprise level negotiations.

  • Partner collaboratively with channel partners in order to understand their business, creatively adopt programs to drive new revenue, and expand business partner relationships.

  • Proactively own renewals in key accounts.

  • Reach out and provide regular customer feedback to the product, industry & strategic marketing teams to help identify product strengths and areas of improvement.

  • Sell complex service engagements and creatively seek alternative solutions where necessary.


If you are a successful sales professional who has experience finding new accounts as well as developing and maintaining existing accounts in a B2B consultative selling environment this is a great fit for you!  Territories are assigned based on experience and career level. A successful individual will be managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing (new accounts), and identifying areas for providing additional value (existing accounts). As well as orchestrating sales via channel partners and resellers.


Here’s what you need to be successful as a Territory Account Sales Executive 2:

  • Proven track record (5+ years) consistent quota attainment selling software in an enterprise, on premise, SaaS or a hybrid model

  • Enterprise Technology Software sales experience, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Manufacturing industries

  • Strong team selling and leadership skills

  • Passion for disruptive technology

  • Experience with direct and indirect selling channels

  • Highly driven, determined & business oriented

  • High-energy HUNTER SPIRIT!

  • Previous experience using Salesforce.com

  • Sound business acumen

  • Experience accurately forecasting and reporting on territory /account activity

PREFERRED Education, Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Education Level:  Bachelor's Degree-4-year College/University degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Field Of Study:  Information Technology, Sales/Marketing, or similar
  • Formal training in consultative sales techniques Experience with a sales methodology (TAS) and CRM solution is advantageous
