Job Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing Ninja Van’s third-party warehousing and fulfilment operations which are key activities in our end-to-end logistics value chain. This is a very hands-on role, and the right candidate should have experience in a management or supervisory role within a warehouse, and be held accountable for overall warehouse operational performance and improving performance over time. As the fulfilment warehouse manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Manage end-to-end warehousing and fulfilment operations, ensuring that the warehouse runs smoothly and at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, directing, and training team of warehouse associates and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
  • Ensure all B2B and B2C orders are fulfilled (picked, packed and dispatched) accurately within the agreed SLA Review and prepare workflow, manpower and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
  • Participate in warehousing design, establish and implement warehouse management procedures, quality control processes and various indicator systems, be responsible for the KPI of warehouse operations
  • Implement and improve the warehouse's rules and regulations, standardize operating standards and processes, allocate human resources reasonably, and monitor each job on the warehouse site; improve work efficiency, plan budgets, and reduce costs
  • Use a system software to keep records, edit, and manage the inventory flow in the fulfillment center
  • Manage arrangements with internal and external delivery partners to ensure that orders are dispatched on time and accurately to customers
  • Optimize warehouse operations via continuous improvement and implement cost saving measures
  • Work with internal stakeholders including product team, regional operations, project, business development teams to ensure that system and process gaps are flagged, and that process changes are implemented effectively in the warehouse
  • Develop and execute on project-based, ad-hoc solutions arising from client requests (e.g. campaign sales picking);Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintain compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

Requirements

  • 8 - 10 years of operations management experience, preferably in logistics/supply chain industry
  • Prior experience in a warehouse working on logistics operations
  • Understanding of B2B/B2C warehousing and fulfilment as a service
  • Degree or equivalent, ideally in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Capable to process new information on the go and be comfortable with ambiguity
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented and process driven
  • Highly organized and responsible individual
  • Strong people management skills
  • Willingness to work hands-on in a warehouse and help out with on-ground warehouse processes
