Job Responsibilities

Trident Technical College in North Charleston, SC invites applications for in-person adjunct positions for the fall and spring semesters. These positions are based on TTC's Thornley Campus for the Spring 24 semester but candidates must be willing to provide online services as needed. 

Preference is may be given to applicants with previous teaching experience and who are available to teach in person at any TTC campuses or sites.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

To qualify for these positions, you must have at least a bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology, or a master's degree in computer science/information technology (prefered), or a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in computer science/information technology and five or more years of programming/web development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Adjuncts must be experienced in either or both the following Information Systems disciplines:

  • Computer programming utilizing either Java, C++, C#, Python, or other similar object-oriented programming environment(s). 
  • Web development, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, etc.

Experience in the following areas is considered a plus:

  • Working knowledge of databases such as SQL, MYSQL, Big data/analytics, etc. 
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Windows operating system and current MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Candidate having previous teaching experience in information technology is a plus especially if it includes experience in an LMS (Learning Management System) such as D2L (Desire2Learn).
