ABOUT THE ROLE

Fundraising Consultant will guide KAI through the aspects of planning and running an effective fundraising campaign (or multiple campaigns). Under this broad umbrella, the Fundraising Consultant may offer services specifically for: Grant strategy development, fundraising network extension, fundraising pitches, and creating more fundraising opportunities for KAI. 

The person must have deep industry knowledge, including a thorough understanding of major competitors and industry trends, in addition to a keen analytical eye to help spot any weaknesses in the fundraising plan before investors do.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create pipelines of donors
  • Solicit corporate, foundation, and HNI support via meetings, pitch presentations, proposals, etc.
  • Conduct membership drives and fundraising campaigns
  • Write and produce promotional material
  • Publicize organization and events

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • A degree or diploma in business, arts administration, marketing or communications is an asset
  • Previous extensive fundraising experience and business network with grant providers - CSR and HNI) is a MUST
  • Strong communication skills
  • Marketing skills
  • Proven experience in budgeting and managing money
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well in a team environment 
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

This is a contract-based position and will be paid as per the completion and conversion of the projects.
