Position Title PHE Design Engineer, Mumbai
India - Maharashtra
AECOM India is seeking to hire an PHE Design Engineer, to be based at Mumbai.
We deliver creative and integrated design engineering solutions on buildings for industry, government, transportation, education, sports/ventures, commercial, hospitality, leisure, energy and smart cities sectors.
Our building engineering business offers an integrated approach to services with global best practices. Working from very complex to mega projects for both public and the private sectors, it is leading the way for technology driven (BIM) integrated project delivery. The services include Design Management, BIM based Architecture Engineering, BIM Advisory, Structural, building services like mechanical HVAC and HV/LV electrical power, lighting and ancillary systems, plumbing engineering and Sustainability Green building Services.
Responsibilities include mechanical drainage, water supply, gas, fire protection and as well as other related mechanical utility systems.
Responsible for the preparation and review of mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the design projects.
Responsible for the participation in the progress and coordination meetings of the design projects and the preparation of the meeting records.
Designing and checking public health reports and drawings to ensure quality of output.
Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.
Able to carry out preliminary sizing of pipe networks, both internal and external.
Specific Skills Required:
Specific Language requirements.
Good working knowledge of FIDIC contracts or similar.
Specific systems or tools used – ETABS, SAFE etc.
Specific industry and project experience – ports, rail, highways.
Requirements for driving licenses.
Mandatory Professional Certifications.

4-8 years of experience on working in the Public Health Engineering design consulting firm.
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
To work for the design of the residential, commercial, retail and hospitality sectors.
Experience in the design of the Public Health Engineering (Sanitary and storm water drainage, cold and hot water domestic water supply, gas storage and distribution systems, miscellaneous piping services, etc.).
Should be knowledgeable in building design services, associated regulations and technical standards.
Excellent communication skills.
Prior experience in similar projects.
