The College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at New York Institute of Technology (NY Tech) seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Perform research.
  • Advise students.
  • Participating in all departmental/school activities that advance the goals of the department/school, i.e. Open House, recruitment events, service on departmental and collegewide committees, curriculum development, etc.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related area, excellent communication skills, and a good publication record.

While specialization in many areas is welcome and considered, preference will be given to applicants with expertise in Security and Privacy; Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Deep Learning; and Computer Vision.

Candidates must demonstrate an innovative research record and/or industrial experience and potential for securing sponsored research, contracts, and external grants.

Successful candidates will share our vision to grow the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences into a leader in applied research and a premier source of student talent in the New York Metropolitan Area and globally.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

USD $75,500.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $120,000.00/Yr.
