Who are you?:

You're a college junior or senior, or a grad student or recent graduate, who's trying to kickstart a career in analytics within digital/social/tech. There are two different tracks that you could be selected for depending on your background and interest. You're interested in a paid internship that'll have you touching multiple parts of our business and hustling for some of the world's biggest brands.

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Must be able to commute to NY-Hudson Yards office
  • Has strong research, writing, organizational and grammar skills
  • Highly-motivated self starter who seeks to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently, but knows when to ask for help
  • Strategic thinker who understands the place of both established and emerging technologies in the capture, creation, and connection of user data
  • Exceptional communicator skilled in translating complex data and mathematical work into simple, easy-to-understand stories
  • Possesses a hunger to learn and be mentored by professionals
  • Loves all things digital and understands relevant social media platforms
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Can commit to working at least 35 hours per week
  • Experience with advanced excel functions (PivotTable, Vlookup, Filter, etc.)
  • Experience with visualization tools (Microstrategy, Tableau, Domo, etc.), and/or relational databases (SQL, MS Access, etc.) highly preferred

 

Media Analytics Track:

  • Analyze data to uncover insights and learnings about customers and ads
  • Use findings to make recommendations and fundamentally shift brand and business practices
  • Day to day analytics for assigned clients, including QA of data, creation/automation of reports, and communication with account teams
  • Work in cross-functional teams with our Account, Engineering, Paid Media, Smart Technology, and Consulting teams to execute data-driven work for client partners

 

Data Science Track:

  • Utilize their understanding of statistics and data science to aid and implement advanced analysis across a variety of areas within the industry: NLP, causal attribution, and consumer research
  • Technical competencies: R-general programming fluidity in dplyr/tidyverse, data viz (ggplot2, shiny a big plus), experience with ML packages (caret, gbm, randomForest, etc.) and/or Python equivalents (Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn+Flask/django)
  • Work across a variety of clients and internal stakeholders, supporting both day to day operations as well as long-term R&D initiatives

 

This ten week program will run from Monday, June 11 through Friday, August 10.
