Experiential Marketing Strategy: Develops initial draft of experiential marketing strategy and ensures alignment with Walmart's overall marketing and business strategy; socializes with other marketing leaders and associates. Reviews customer and competitor insight data and makes recommendations on target audience segments and customer experience priorities. Continuously adjusts strategy and plans based on campaign ROI, real-time trends and other insights.

Experiential Creative Brief Development: Develops experiential creative briefs for a large, complex campaigns (e.g., holiday) covering visual merchandising and retailtainment. Drafts direction and key messages to promote the desired behaviors, customer experience, and KPI’s. Reviews target audience, objectives, budget and timeline for all initiatives within for a large, complex campaign or department redesign. Reviews and edits creative considerations (media, materials, tone).

In-Store Events and Retailtainment: Provides strategic advice and guidance to Experiential Marketing Managers regarding strategy and implementation of in-store events with few complexities. Assesses the impact of existing retailtainment initiatives and recommends strategic adjustments to drive product sales and customer engagement. Suggests new in-store retailtainment and marketing opportunities.

Store Channels (In-store radio, TV): Provides strategic advice and guidance to Experiential Marketing Managers regarding strategy and implementation of in-store marketing plans/channels with few complexities. Assesses the impact of existing in-store marketing initiatives and recommends strategic adjustments to drive product sales and customer engagement. Suggests new in-store marketing opportunities.

Store Associate Engagement and Enablement: Provides strategic advice and guidance to Experiential Marketing Managers regarding strategy and implementation of associate communication and engagement initiatives. Assesses the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives and recommends adjustments to drive associate engagement and enablement. Develops metrics to assess the effectiveness of existing communication and engagement initiatives.

Store Innovation and Experience Optimization: Leverages organizational experience and insights into customer behavior (e.g., buying patterns, shopping preferences, decision-making process) to assist in development and manage implementation of converged retail strategy within the store environment. Works with suppliers, merchants and Experiential Marketing Managers to develop, implement and measure process improvement strategies.

Managing Supplier Relationships: Manages relationships with key strategic suppliers for a category with few complexities. Negotiates product volumes, costs, and terms with suppliers for a category with few complexities.

Collaboration: Partners with suppliers and cross-functional teams to assist in the development of new, innovative ideas for visual merchandising solutions, retailtainment and in-store events.

People Development: Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Ensures associates are receiving learning and development opportunities (e.g. training, mentoring) for the good of the associate and Walmart. Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Conducts performance and career development conversations. Mentors less experienced associates and managers.

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year's supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 4 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years' experience in marketing or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years' supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • 5 years' experience in marketing or related field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration.
