Senior Project Manager (Banking & Payments)

FIS Global are currently seeking an experienced senior project manager to deliver projects in the Payments, Financial Services and Cards industry to our clients predominantly in the Middle East but also Africa and Europe if required.

The Role 

Working out of Dubai UAE, the successful candidate will have more than 10 years’ experience in the field of Financial Services specialising in the Payments and Cards industries. This is a senior position, the successful candidate will be expected to be able to engage competently at project sponsor and senior management levels, as well as with technical personnel

The successful candidate will be very proficient in Project Management Methodologies and ideally be certified by either APMP or PMI bodies of knowledge. Have a clear understanding and experience in the delivery of SDLC project lifecycles, Waterfall, Agile and Scrum as well as other similar project delivery methods while working closely with EPMO project governance organisation and have extensive experience with the successful management of projects with medium to large sized complexity and within budget ranges starting at USD 2 million and upwards.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must be able to deliver project using an international matrix based delivery structures utilising project resources from multinational sources.

Be very capable and experienced in conducting workshops, gathering requirements in collaboration with appropriate business analysts and solution architects while collaborating with QA and testing organisations to ensure best practices and high quality results within expected timeframe. The candidate will have in depth knowledge of banking, switching, clearing, fraud management, AML, data migration and the certification process pertinent to the major Card Issuing Authorities in the industry.

FIS often deals with and through 3rd party delivery organisations and partners, so a proficiency in the governance of all stakeholders & 3rd Party delivery organisations as well as Vendor Management will be an essential part of this role.

The successful candidate will also be fully conversant with the creation of comprehensive project documentation including project timelines, project plans, RAIDS logs, change management principles and the creation and maintenance of knowledge transfer documentation, have a fluent working knowledge of earned value and cost variation concepts as well being able to forecast revenue recognition, report financial backlogs and accurately predict invoicing revenues.

Ideally the useful candidate would have significant experience of this kind of project delivery work within the Middle East and European territories delivering projects to customers with high expectations of urgent project delivery timelines, while adhering to approved budget constraints and high quality expectations.

The ideal candidate will be Arabic speaking.
