The Lead QA Engineer is a member of an Agile Team responsible for testing software developed in Bangkok for Trading team. They will lead a team Quality Engineers to guide the testing of sophisticated software products or customer solutions. They also contribute through their technical and leadership expertise and work as a part of a Scrum team building out Continuous Integration and Behavior Driven Development and adopting DevOps practices.

Role requirements:

  • Study requirement specifications and raise clarifications to business analysts and customers.
  • Build, maintain and update automated test scenarios and test cases based on the requirement specifications.
  • Direct a team in delivery of an Automation first “In-Sprint” capability and development of CI/CD methodology..
  • Report results of automated and manual tests.
  • Solve issues in automated test scripts.
  • Report issues and anomalies in the system in the issue tracking system.
  • Communicate risks to quality and testing schedules to Quality Manager.
  • Reporting sophisticated issues with clarity and at an appropriate level for Senior Stakeholders.
  • Provide daily, weekly status updates to managers.
  • Act as a People Leader for the other QA team members in Bangkok.
  • Create and build test plans, estimates and improvements to test process.
  • Review QA project artefacts including Test scenarios, Test Scripts, Defect reports and Status reports.
  • Research into new QA tools methodologies and suggest improvements to the team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10-year hands on experience in Software development life cycle, preferably in Automation testing of multi-tiered applications.
  • Experience of working within the Financial Sector is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability as a QE Lead minimum 3-4 years in an Agile team.
  • Experience in creating test plans and reporting to senior partners and be people leading a team of at least 5 people.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of standard software QA processes and methodologies.
  • Scripting test cases based on requirements. Developing and building tests into automated test suites.
  • Experience in Automation testing by Python or Robot Framework or Selenium
  • Ability to grasp technical and proving experience quickly is essential.
  • High attention to detail and strong communication skills with ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to train and mentor other QA team members.
