Job Title:Job Code: UI/UX Visual Designer Division and Department: Product Design Group - PSG Reports to: UX Team Leader 

Role Purpose: 

The UI/UX Visual Designer will be joining a UX team tasked with revolutionizing a portfolio of solutions and envisioning new ones, from leading edge analytics tools to mobile apps. 

The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and designs, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. 

This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders focused on creating compelling experiences that balance user intent, business needs, and company vision.

Job Metrics (How will the role be measured): 

The successful implementation of User Experiences into products. Working with Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Managers and Product Architects to achieve this goal in an Agile environment.

To achieve this metric as a UI/UX Visual Designer you will need to:

  • Proactively contribute to the customer-centric vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience design. 
  • Advocate a vision for new models designed for simplicity and discoverability to meet the needs of our user base. 
  • Produce design concepts that translates business needs and requirements into visual solutions. 
  • Work with Product Managers, Product Owners, UX Designers, Developers and End Users to design and implement interactive designs for new and existing product applications.
  • Develop new concepts for the multi-platform systems through User Interface design for web, mobile and tablet.
  • Coordinate multiple projects with varying levels of UX & production support.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
  • Create new content - either for production or prototypes for testing and sharing recommended improvements with internal and external audience.

  • Involve in facilitating the full pipeline from initial UX mockups through to delivery
  • Creation of functional (clickable) prototypes 
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and standards
  • Support Engineering teams in resolving UX related bugs

Stakeholder Management 

  • Work closely with Product Managers to understand current and future requirements
  • Work with Product Strategy to ensure that the product’s UX meets the strategic goals
  • Maintain a dialogue with the Engineering Technical architects on the status, progress, and future of the implementation of new product features
  • Work with support to ensure that the product is meeting its technical goals
  • Management and Leadership Ensure the product designs follow modern best practice

Key Experience & Qualifications Required

ExperienceGeneral: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience designing complex web-based and mobile systems in a technology or software organization.
  • Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Multi-Platform experience including Web application for desktop and mobile devices. Experience with generating design content for software applications, UI prototypes, and UI specifications. 
  • Ability to present designs in a compelling manner.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively, out-of-the-box ideas and innovative designs.
  • Strong understanding of the user-centered design process
  • Up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies

Industry specific: 

Regarded as very knowledgeable/experienced in the following areas:

  • Working with Online Software Applications
  • Understandingof SaaS
  • An understanding of User Centered Design methodologies and an understanding of the web of things
  • Qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate ideas

Environment:

  • Able to provide examples of collaborative, high performance team working

Product/Technical: 

Skills and experience required: 

  • Design & Prototyping
  • Knowledge of design systems
  • A basic knowledge of CSS and HTML
  • Graphic design and production of image design assets
  • An understanding of WCAG accessibility 
  • Flexible approach and ability to handle change well 

Professional/Task Essential Experience:

  • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently and as a proactive team member
  • PersonalProfessional and well-organized with excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Good at building relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Results orientated
  • Specific Qualifications & AccreditationsA university degree in Interactive or visual design (or a closely related field)
  • Experience of Agile development methodologies

LocationIndia based, occasional global travel may be required
