Job Opportunity: Senior Data Engineer

Our client, a prominent player in the high-tech e-training industry, is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer. Role Overview:

  • Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

  • Team Structure: A team of around 20 professionals

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines on modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Collaborate closely with data architects, scientists, and analysts to meet business data requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data processing infrastructure, including ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and data lakes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues.
  • Stay updated with emerging data engineering trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka), and software engineering practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and familiarity with JIRA, Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with machine learning, AI technologies, and DevOps practices.

Interview Process:

  • 30-minute screening.
  • 1 technical interview.

Additional Notes:

  • The role is necessitated by a new project in manufacturing, involving moving on-prem manufacturing data to the cloud.
