Overview: Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit affordable homeownership affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, partners with families and neighborhood residents to build homes and revitalize communities. Our service area includes the city of Atlanta and the cities and neighborhoods of South Fulton. Atlanta Habitat is seeking an IT Administrator to support our mission.

Position Summary:

The IT Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organization wide technology infrastructure of Habitat for Humanity. Including the planning, organizing, and implementing technical projects. Main duties include coordinating production releases and rollouts, delegating tasks to the appropriate contractors and presenting project progress and results. Managing existing IT infrastructure and ensuring that new systems are properly integrated with existing systems. Managing existing technology and building safety infrastructure including phone, security, and fire alarm systems (communications infrastructure only for fire alarm systems).

  • Providing IT support for Atlanta Habitat staff and managing hardware and software requirements
  • Administering the SharePoint deployments for all departments and groups
  • Administer office 365 for the hybrid work environment
  • Administering both Active Directory and Azure Active Directory deployments and synchronizations
  • Administering local and hosted security testing and maintaining processes and procedures to keep Habitat compliant with required security standards.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

IT Support and Project Management 

  • Work with team from preferred MSP to prioritize trouble tickets and support Habitat staff in daily operations.
  • Manage Physical infrastructure of all IT equipment with assistance from Preferred MSP to ensure proper security and peak performance are maintained.
  • Assist/provide End User Support
  • Assist AHFH staff with IT questions and troubleshooting or direct them to the appropriate entity for assistance.
  • Assist Novatech with on-site needs.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access) and Adobe Acrobat along with database management skills. Sales Force platform experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid office software
  • Independent, responsible, and able to prioritize work requirements and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a design/construction related environment.
  • Comfortable maintaining, updating, and installing physical infrastructure.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and pay attention to details and follow through to complete tasks.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or certifications preferred.
  • Must have at least 3 years’ IT experience.

This position is classified as a full-time exempt. Some evening and weekend work is required. Occasional driving around the City of Atlanta and South Fulton County is required - candidates must have a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers’ license. Hybrid work schedule available.
