Job Description

Are you ready to boost your career in exciting areas of software engineering and sensor systems? Join our team to advance software in wearable devices, smartwatches, smartphones and other exciting applications that will boggle your mind. Contribute with your expertise to test and push the boundaries of signal processing algorithms in embedded systems frameworks. Enhance sensor communication and protocols, power saving, fault-tolerance, and thrill users with exceptional real-time, always-on functionality.

  • As software integration and test manager you will have the global technical responsibility for defining SW integration and test strategy/plan and its deployment into practice in your project. You will be on driver seat for making sure that SW testability and test related requirements are taken into account already in the requirements definition phase in co-operation with SW developers, SW test engineers, SW/HW/system architects and managers.
  • As software integration and test manager you can set the expectations what is to be done on unit, integration, system and acceptance test levels keeping the time to market and test automation in mind. At the end your test report will give us confidence that we are fulfilling internal and customer expectations for sensor based applications ranging from simple always-on uses cases like step counting for wristbands up to powerful applications for smartwatches or smartphones.
  • Your position is not just a creating documentations position. Depending on your hands-on experience you have great chance to implement and execute SW simulation, HIL and use case tests by yourself.
  • You are able to operate in cross-functional position communicating with wide range of people with ease. Promoting importance of SW testing, keeping reusability, scalability and test automation in your mind.

Qualifications

  • Personality: You are a strong and self-driven leader. You aren't afraid of talking to stakeholders and team members and you can convince and inspire others with your ideas. Support and guide your team by actively participating in testing and lead by being example.
  • Working practice: Analytical, structured and fact based. Real team player who is used to work in an international and diverse environment. You are able to convince stakeholders while taking into account their needs how SW testing needs to be defined, implemented, deployed and maintained.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years hands-on SW testing experience with embedded systems for consumer electronics. Proven track record as SW test manager and strong testing knowledge from SW unit testing to testing SW in a embedded system/end user device. HIL, SIL, SW robustness, power consumption testing, stress testing and feature interaction testing are something you are already familar with.
  • Knowledge: Strong SW testing levels and related testing types knowledge especially for consumer electronics and embedded systems. Broad understanding of testing processes in theory and in practice: ISTQB and ISO SW testing standards.
  • Language: Proficient English language skills (C1), German is a plus.
  • Education: Degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) or PhD in computer science or similar technology related programs.
