Summary of Role:

Seeking highly skilled and motivated MTS engineer to drive the enterprise capital equipment efficiency by maximizing the reuse of the underutilized/stranded capital equipment. He/She will work closely with the global teams of fab industrial engineering, advanced module engineering (AME), technical team, finance, legal & compliance, logistic and procurement to drive the inter-fab tool transfer, tool reuse/part use and tool re-sale logistics. This MTS Engineer will also drive/engage in standard business processes & system enhancement across the 200mm and 300mm fabs on capital equipment reuse. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Establish equipment reuse strategy; influence the fab and key stakeholders to maximize the capital saving through equipment reuse; drive inter-fab tool transfer; coordinate with technical team, Fab IE, AME, finance, logistic and procurement to ensure the tool reallocation executions meet fab business requirements 
  • Chair regular equipment reuse meeting with the management and stakeholders across the enterprise; drive the decision making process; align objectives and expectations with the stakeholders and seek best practices in execution; follow up the equipment reuse activities closely and provide solutions to the problems escalated by the team 
  • Initiate and lead to establish the equipment reuse opportunity plan to maximize capital saving; interface with key site and business stakeholders globally to ensure detailed analysis and alternatives are generated in order to make sound business decisions; partner with fab IE in fab and equipment utilization analysis in order to identify opportunities to maximize enterprise equipment reuse 
  • Partner with external parties and OEM to optimize the equipment reuse cost (re-trofit / upgrade) in order to maximize the capital saving 
  • Initiate and lead business process improvement and standardization across the enterprise in order to improve tool reuse logistic efficiency.

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines 
  • Minimum of 6 years of industrial engineering or process/equipment engineering experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-starter 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a global matrixed team or environment 
  • Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies 
  • Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments 
  • Experience in cost reduction activities 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines 
  • Direct experience in advanced semiconductor device manufacturers or foundries 
  • Direct experience working with tool suppliers.
  • MBA
  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Expected Salary Range

$85,900.00 - $158,600.00
