Job Description

As Director of Engineering for Observability, your principal responsibility is to guide your team towards reaching its full potential through mentorship and coaching. Bringing a wealth of empathy, you'll uphold high-quality standards while fostering the personal and professional growth of your team members. Close collaboration with peers in various engineering domains, as well as with product management, program management, UX, and documentation cross-functional teams, will be essential to ensure the team's success in delivering value to our customers. Your aim is to empower every team member to achieve their best work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop psychological safety.
  • Lead the development and execution of a cutting-edge observability SaaS platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and translate them into technical strategies.
  • Provide strategic direction for the engineering team, fostering innovation and maintaining a high standard of code quality.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, ensuring efficient CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
  • Foster ownership minder and empower individuals to take initiative.
  • Recruit and retain great talent.

Experience and Skills

  • Lead the development and execution of a cutting-edge observability SaaS platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
  • Track record of successful delivery and management of complex, large-scale software projects.
