The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $30.22 – $45.32. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

This is a remote position however, the incumbent must reside in OR, WA, AK or TX by date of hire.

Job Summary

This role provides support to the HR Partner Organization, HR colleagues and members of PeaceHealth's collective bargaining teams. The purpose of this position is to help guide collective bargaining through strategic problem-solving research, data gathering and analysis and information responses. This position partners with a cross-functional team of compensation experts, benefits professionals, human resource business partners and others in support of strategic initiatives.

As part of our HR Partner Organization, the data analyst will produce business data from numerous sources and make sense of it by conducting data manipulation, data cleaning, data analysis, and data presentation. The analyst will drive leaders towards actionable insights and visualize findings in a way that drive labor negotiations toward the best achievable outcomes. The analyst will assist with RFIs and other related collective bargaining and labor relations activities.

Essential Functions

  1. Extracts data from various databases; performs exploratory data analysis, cleanses, massages, and aggregates data. Understands and analyzes collective bargaining terms and provides detailed opinions about contracts to assist with bargaining strategies.
  2. Participates in discussions that help define business questions and consults on appropriate reporting strategy to meet their objectives.
  3. Identifies patterns and trends in data, and tells compelling stories with data visuals and exhibits. Builds dashboards, and maintains applications and databases in support of compensation initiatives as requested.
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources and Labor Relations initiatives, policies, and practices that contribute to positive labor and employee relations. Provide consultation and guidance to management and non-management employees.
  5. Identifies best practices and process improvement opportunities with viable options for implementation and cost savings for the organization.
  6. Creates and maintains impactful visual representations of analytic insights and concise summaries of methodology geared to audience needs; presents selected portions to stakeholders.
  7. Contributes to analytic project proposals.
  8. Assists with RFI responses and other labor and collective bargaining related data needs.
  9. Assists with data audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  10. Creates and maintains Excel-based reporting.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field or a combination of education, training, and applicable experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a progressively responsible human resources role, or applicable combination of compensation, analytics, and/or finance experience and education required.
  • Highly skilled in reporting and analytics preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-site healthcare environment preferred.
  • Experience in Lawson/GHR/Infor preferred.
  • Exposure and business-applicable experience in KRONOS, Oracle, SQL, Python, PySpark) preferred.

Required Skills

  • Advanced level of technical expertise in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Advanced analytical and qualitative skills – ability to analyze large datasets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail in all job-related aspects.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task daily.
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership and staff.
  • Knowledge of state and federal wage and hour and pay equity laws and general exposure to labor relations laws.

Preferred Skills

  • Skilled in one or more: Tableau, Power BI, Quickbase, QlikView or other dashboard analytics tools.
  • Experience with MarketPay or other market-pricing database tools.

Working Conditions

  • Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Sedentary work.
  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.
  • Some time spent on site in medical/hospital setting.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
