Job Summary:

By joining us as Engineer / Senior Engineer you will be handling orders received from customers in India . Coordinate with PM and Operation team for smooth transition of project requirements from the order receiving sales office to our internal teams. Follow-up the project schedule with internal teams to ensure that the project breakthroughs are met. Work with PMO/sales office and Logistics to ensure valves cleared for inspection/shipment/comply Incoterm/ sales recognition & align Importation documents at destination/customer site requirements. Ensure that the sales target set for the year is met though coordination with both external and internal parties. Facilitate timely resolution of customer site complaints by closely working with collaborators (Plant Quality) & CSN team

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Review incoming orders (commercial and technical) and ensure that they are received in line with what was quoted. Report abnormalities and seek appropriate corrections from the respective collaborator
  • Plan and complete project kick-off meetings and provide clarity to plant team on customer requirements
  • Collaborate with PM, Planning, Buyers and Project Management groups in the Operations organization, Application Engineer Team and Product Managers from the Product Business Lines during the quotation and delivery project phases to ensure a smooth flow of information and process throughout the sales cycle and offer the most suitable and realistic proposal for deliveries
  • Actively follow up and expedite orders to meet production and customer service requirements. Enter all changes and updates in the Purchasing system.
  • Provide periodic project summary and status reports to the concerned collaborators and Management
  • Supervise and review the progress at appropriate intervals based on the priority and delivery schedule. Record the discussion and circulate to the participants and other collaborators
  • Ensure the effective implementation of post order Corrective & Preventive actions against the customer complaints
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements and keeping abreast of Emerson’s International trade compliance requirements.
  • Providing support on quoting project lead time, pricing special constructions/options and ensuring conformance to EPMCPL standards wherever possible.
  • Prepare and submit monthly order booked and sales projection to management.
  • Project costing, discussing with Operations team on capability development regarding valve models and testing requirements.
  • Participate in slim spec and GP improvement activities. Get regular update from ME and GSC teams on capacity and capability of the plant. Share with global partners at the appropriate forums
  • Prepare Monthly inspection plan and communicate to PM. Ensure approved documents are in place at least two weeks in advance before sending NOI
  • Ensure that the overall project schedule is met though coordination with both external and internal parties
  • Ensure timely submission of trade compliance documents for Incoterm closure/ sales recognition – by closely working with logistics team at EPMCPL and with customer appointed forwarders
  • Ensure to dispatch importation documents for destination clearance/customer site after getting vital endorsement from Chambers/Embassy and other project specific documents – by closely working with customer appointed forwarders & PM
  • Handle or validate sale order details in oracle transactions before providing shipment clearance to logistics

You keep in touch with customers, build the customer relationships, understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer relationships You solicit both input and discussion, build a plan and outline for various audiences, prepare content for communication that is impactful.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the vital skills to optimally apply technology and systems Manager - IPM
  • Fundamental Engineering Knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years’ work experience in similar industry and products
  • Having project management experience in valve or related products will be an added advantage
  • Awareness about EMS & ISO 45001 practices
  • Experience in ISO 14001:2015 - ISO 45001:2018 - ISO 9001:2015 procedures & instructions
