About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Treasury Management Sales & Service Consultant - Banks to join our growing team in Japan.

In this role, you will:

Sales responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop payment business activities in Japan market
  • Partner with Corporate and Investment Banking Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Relationship Managers to drive GTM Banks business forward and lead, manage and develop payment business activities
  • Coordinate Request for Proposal (RFP) responses and proposal generation
  • Manage post-RFP award client engagement ensuring the successful implementation of the solution for the client 
  • Provide production support on product issues and call on financial institutional clients to address their business and product needs
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead a Global Treasury Management - Banks (“GTM Banks”) sales team to meet project deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of GTM Banks functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with GTM Banks peers, colleagues, and more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Focus on building payment deal pipelines (i.e., Phoenix CRM deals) by delivering consultative solutions to clients to grow market share, revenues, volumes and other performance metric
  • Develop and execute GTM Banks client account plan and call schedule and team up with RM team to make coordinated calling efforts
  • Organize client road shows / seminars / presentations, including development of agenda, engaging speakers and generation of content to be presented 
  • Engage with RM, Client Service, Risk, Operations team to meet client needs, resolve technical payment issues, and deliver best-in-class client experience
  • Work with FIG RM/Credit to establish appropriate intra-day credit facility to support client payment activities
  • Work closely with FIG RMs and Risk/Compliance team to enhance regulatory awareness and ensure reputational integrity of Wells Fargo. Providing subject matter input to support remediation and transaction risk reduction efforts (e.g., Focused Risk Assessment reports).

Customer Service

  • Support complex or large portfolio of customers and share leadership role with Relationship Managers and Service Experience Manager in managing a portfolio of accounts.
  • Assist with components of audit or compliance reviews and exams as required.
  • Maintain policy manuals and Business Continuity Plan documentation.
  • Act as the customers’ main point of contact for operational questions and handle complex customer issues including escalation and resolution.
  • Provide the same standard of customer care to our internal team members, who may in turn be servicing Wells Fargo’s financial institution customers in various countries across the globe.
  • Solve issues with various operations centers, internal bank departments and outside vendors.
  • Prepare presentations, materials and serve as a subject matter expert for the department.
  • Manages "owning the customer experience" approach and effectively executes on all standard protocols regarding interactions with customers.
  • Conducts customer courtesy calls, by phone, promote relationship building and a positive customer experience during customer interactions and identify cross-sell opportunities.
  • Leading of client service reviews and obtaining client feedback on our service levels.
  • Work with Relationship Managers to structure and execute transactions for the most complex clients, and to manage portfolio with high operating exposures.
  • Make decisions on complex customer issues and problems.
  • Partner with Service Experience Manager to resolve issues and provide status updates on implementations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Treasury Management Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Client service experience for financial institutions clients in Japan market is advantage.
  • Work collaboratively in a small team with a receptive attitude that allows him/ her to take on additional tasks that ensure the smooth running of a small office.
  • Bilingual in English and Japanese with excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization, skills and ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and organization.
